Statutory Warranty Policy

At Quality Motors Brisbane, we are committed to providing transparency and peace of mind when you purchase a used vehicle from us. As required under Queensland law, we offer statutory warranties on eligible vehicles in accordance with the Motor Dealers and Chattel Auctioneers Act 2014.

Class A Vehicles:
Applies to used vehicles that are less than 10 years old and have travelled less than 160,000 km at the time of sale. This warranty covers the vehicle for 3 months or 5,000 km (whichever comes first) from the date of purchase.

Class B Vehicles:
Applies to used vehicles that are 10 years or older or have travelled more than 160,000 km. This warranty covers the vehicle for 30 days or 1,000 km (whichever comes first) from the date of purchase.

Please note: Statutory warranties do not cover all faults or components and may exclude certain parts. For complete information, please refer to the Queensland Government – Office of Fair Trading or contact Quality Motors Brisbane directly.

Warranty Disclaimer & Extended Warranties

At Quality Motors Brisbane, statutory warranty is provided in-house in accordance with applicable legislation. This warranty is limited in scope and applies primarily to major mechanical components. It does not extend to routine servicing, normal wear and tear, or vehicle accessories and features.

All claims under the statutory warranty must be directed to Quality Motors Brisbane. It is the customer’s responsibility to return the vehicle to our workshop for inspection and repair, and a booking is required prior to any work being carried out. Failure to return the vehicle to our premises may result in the warranty claim being declined.

As an additional option, customers can choose from a wide range of extended warranty products offered by independent third-party providers, with different covers and durations available. These extended warranties are separate from the statutory warranty, may be used at authorised repairers throughout Australia, and can include roadside assistance. We recommend considering such products for broader coverage and protection against costs not included under the statutory warranty.
